At the elementary level (A2), learners consolidate and expand the knowledge acquired at the beginner stage. The course focuses on developing a broader active vocabulary, improving pronunciation, and strengthening the understanding and use of fundamental grammatical structures necessary for everyday communication in Russian.
By the end of this level, learners will be able to communicate in a range of familiar situations and discuss common topics such as work or studies, housing, daily routines, travel, shopping, and leisure activities. They will learn to describe people, places, and events, as well as to speak about past and future actions using basic grammatical forms. Learners will also develop the ability to understand and produce short spoken and written texts related to everyday life.
This level provides a solid foundation for further development of communicative competence in Russian and prepares learners to progress to more complex language use at the next stage of study.
